Minister Vesna Pusić received Israeli Ambassador to Croatia Yosef Amrani

Amrani congratulated Pusić on her appointment to position and welcomed the results of Croatia’s EU membership referendum

Amrani congratulated Pusić on her appointment to position and welcomed the results of Croatia’s EU membership referendum.

The two officials expressed interest in the exchange of high-official visits and announced the continuation of regular political consultations between the two foreign ministries in March this year in Zagreb.

Given the existing high level of political dialogue, Pusić and Amrani expressed belief in the further advancement of economic relation. In that regard, they pointed out the importance of Israeli entrepreneurs’ investments in Croatia’s tourist sector, as well as the overall growth of Israeli investments in Croatia the year before. Education is also one of the fields of interest where Croatia intends to use Israel’s knowledge and achievements.

Ambassador Amrani informed Minister Pusić about the meeting planned for the forthcoming visit by Croatian President Ivo Josipović to Israel.

Also discussed was the current political situation in the Middle East.

Armani then reported on the coming commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January, to be commemorated in the Croatian Parliament as well.
