Congratulating Minister Pusić on her appointment, Ambassador Zhifei emphasized the importance of the year that would mark the 20th anniversary of China’s recognition of Croatia and the setting up of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Minister Pusić expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations, which show a lot of potential for further advancement, especially in economy, as well as in cultural and scientific cooperation. In that regard, she pointed out that the new government’s goal was to strengthen the investment climate and create even better preconditions for all businessmen, including Chinese. Given Croatia’s geopolitical position, she pointed out the possibility of cooperation with China in the traffic and energy sector. Tourism is also showing a growing potential.
Ambassador Zhifei was also informed about the activities in regard to the pending Croatia’s EU accession referendum.
Conclusively, Ambassador Zhifei invited Minister Pusić to officially visit the People’s Republic of China.
