As of 1 July 2011 Croatian citizens will be able to apply online for electronic visas for tourist or private visits to Australia. This represents evidence of excellent bilateral relations between the Republic of Croatia and Australia, an indication of the trust given to Croatia in the context of completed negotiations for membership in the European Union, and a confirmation of the reforms implemented by the Croatian Government
The decision concerns visa applications for the purpose of tourist or private visits to Australia, and visas will be granted for multiple entries to Australia during a period of up to three months. The simplified method of application for tourist visas will enable Croatian citizens to apply for the visa from any location outside Australia.
