The collocutors described the two countries’ relations as very good and friendly, unburdened by outstanding issues, expressing satisfaction with the well-developed and regular parliamentary cooperation.

The meeting also pointed out the good cooperation between the Croatian and Ukrainian regions and cities, as part of which several friendship agreements have been signed, with others being in the works, which greatly strengthens the bilateral cooperation.

Analyzing the bilateral economic cooperation, the collocutors agreed that there was vast potential for its enhancement, especially in regard to the construction of infrastructural facilities in Ukraine. They also expressed conviction in the strengthening of tourist cooperation, with Minister Jandroković pointing out it would be augmented by the Croatian Government’s decision to once again temporarily cancel visas for the Ukrainian citizens during the tourist season.

Minister Jandroković informed his guest about the actualities regarding Croatia’s EU accession, emphasizing that Croatia fully supported Ukraine in its relations with the European Union. He also communicated the Croatian side’s readiness to share its negotiation experiences with Ukraine.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Lytvyn expressed gratitude for preserving and protecting the position of the Ukrainian national minority in Croatia.
