Minister Jandroković welcomed the first UAE ambassador accredited to Croatia, expressing belief that this would greatly intensify the two countries’ relations. The collocutors pointed out the good bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Croatia and the United Arab Emirates.
Reminding Ambassador al Mahmood about his official visit to UAE in 2009, as well as the visit by UEA Foreign Minister Al Nahyan to Croatia the same year, Minister Jandroković said he hoped the high-level visits would continue.
The meeting emphasized the need for creating an additional legal framework in order to take full advantage of the vast economic cooperation potentials.
Minister Jandroković informed his collocutor about the current status of Croatia’s EU negotiations, which have entered their final phase, adding that Croatia’s EU membership would contribute to the intensification of the overall bilateral cooperation with the United Arab Emirates.
