Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Gordan Jandroković met with Dutch Parliament’s House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Nebahat Albayrak, European Affairs Committee Deputy Chair Harry van Bommel, and all largest parties’ MPs

The collocutors described the two countries’ bilateral relations as very good and friendly, expressing willingness to further intensify cooperation in all the areas. Minister Jandroković thanked the Netherlands for directly supporting Croatia through a series of bilateral cooperation programs.

He informed his collocutors about the current status of Croatia’s accession negotiations, pointing out the intent to close the technical part by the end of Hungary’s EU presidency, as well as the determination to complete all of the required reforms. He also familiarized them with the implementation of the Communication Strategy for informing the Croatian citizens about the importance of EU membership for their daily lives.

He also talked about the economic recovery program, as well as the government’s projects of institutional, social and structural reforms aimed at achieving economic growth and strengthening the competitiveness.

The meeting also discussed the situation in the countries of South Eastern Europe, their transformation and approaching the Euro-Atlantic integration. Minister Jandroković said that Croatia would continue to actively contribute to the further stabilization of the region’s countries and assist them along their Euro-Atlantic path.

The Dutch MPs pointed out they appreciated Croatia’s willingness to openly discuss all the chapters, criteria and issues important for the successful completion of Croatia’s negotiation process.

After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Jandroković was presented to the members of the House of Representatives at the plenary session.
