The ministers described the Croatian-Egyptian bilateral relations as excellent and on the constant rise. Minister Jandroković pointed out the official visit by Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor to Egypt in December the year before, aimed at further developing and upgrading the bilateral, multilateral and economic relations between Croatia and Egypt.

He also stressed the important of enhancing the economic relations with the countries that had institutionalized ties with the EU, which includes Egypt. In that regard, he informed his collocutor about the current status of Croatia’s EU accession negotiations and outlined Croatia’s view on the situation in the region of South Eastern Europe, with special emphasis on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Assistant Foreign Minister Fathalla looked back on the situation in the Middle East, laying out Egypt’s views on the progress of the Middle East peace process.

During the visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Assistant Foreign Minister Fathalla held regular political consultations with Director for Multilateral Affairs Mario Nobilo.
