The ministers confirmed the excellent and traditionally friendly bilateral relations between Croatia and Germany

The ministers confirmed the excellent and traditionally friendly bilateral relations between Croatia and Germany. Minister Jandroković informed his counterpart Westerwelle about the status of Croatia’s EU negotiations, thanking Germany for its continuous support. The collocutors agreed that the progress achieved was not only important for Croatia but for the EU as a whole, as well as for the stability of South Eastern Europe.

Minister Westerwelle relayed Germany’s strong support for the completion of the negotiation process and Croatia’s EU membership.

Analyzing the bilateral economic cooperation, the ministers expressed satisfaction with its development thus far. The successful Croatian-German Business Forum in June was followed by a visit from German Minister of Economics and Technology Rainer Brüderle last month. These visits, agreed the ministers, signal a new incentive in strengthening the economic cooperation, pointing out the importance of the Croatian-German Business Forum to be held January the following year in Mainz.
