Minister Gordan Jandroković met with Danish Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Eva Kjer Hansen and European Affairs Committee Chairwoman Anne-Marie Meldgaard

The meeting expressed satisfaction with the two countries’ excellent and traditionally friendly relations. Minister Jandroković thanked Denmark for its continuous support during Croatia’s EU accession.

In that regard, he pointed out its bilateral assistance, especially in the public administration reform.

Minister Jandroković informed Hansen and Meldgaard about the course of Croatia’s EU accession process and the ambitions to close the negotiations in the first half of 2011, during Hungary’s EU presidency.

The collocutors expressed conviction in further intensifying the bilateral cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments, especially the foreign affairs and European integration committees. In that regard, Hansen and Meldgaard announced their visit to the Croatian Parliament in the first half of the following year, expressing wish for further enhancing the already high level of relations.

Committee chairwomen Hansen and Meldgaard pointed out that, despite the demanding process of EU accession, Croatia was showing significant progress and willingness to satisfy all the necessary criteria. They also inquired about the current situation in the region of South Eastern Europe.
