The collocutors confirmed the excellent bilateral relations, pointing out that they could be further strengthening in numerous areas of mutual interest, one of which is the parliamentary cooperation.

Minister Jandroković thanked the British MPs for their assistance and advice during Croatia’s EU accession process and informed them about the current status of the negotiations, as well as Croatia’s ambitions to close them in the first half of the following year, before the end of Hungary’s EU presidency.

The collocutors agreed that the their respective countries’ NATO membership was an excellent precondition for strengthening the overall bilateral cooperation, while Minister Jandroković said it would be further solidified once Croatia joined the EU.

The meeting also saw the exchange of opinions on the current political situation in South Eastern Europe, with both sides expressing support for the Euro-Atlantic integration processes of all the region’s countries.
