In his remarks, Minister Jandroković emphasized the two countries’ excellent and friendly relations on various levels, expressing hope for their further strengthening in the future. As a confirmation of that he pointed out the planned visit by the Croatian officials to China, thanking the Chinese hosts for organizing it. He highlighted the fact that the excellent political bilateral relations need to be followed by more intensive contacts and cooperation between Croatian and Chinese businessmen.
The visit by a group of Croatian citizens and public officials to China is the result of an initiative by the two countries’ presidents, proposed during the last year’s state visit by Chinese President Hu Jintao to Croatia. It is being organized for the purposes of strengthening the traditional friendship and getting acquainted with China’s rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as the two countries’ youth’s meeting and exchanging experiences.
The organizers are the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and the All-China Youth Federation.
During their stay in China from 6 to 15 December 2010, the group will visit Beijing, Shanghai and the Hunan province.
