On Wednesday 22. September 2010, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković met with Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze on the margins of the 65th meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York.

They both expressed their satisfaction with the good bilateral relations between the two states, particularly in regard of Euroatlantic integration processes. They said that it was necessary to improve our economic cooperation and in this context discussed possibilities for the cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce of both states.

Minister Jandroković informed his counterpart about the current state of negotiations on acceding to the European Union and expressed his support for the Georgian aspirations to membership of NATO.

He also added that the Republic of Croatia supported the rights of Georgia to its sovereignty and independence and its territorial integrity.

Ministers Jandroković and Vashadze also discussed the possibilities to open honorary consulates in Zagreb and Tbilisi.
