The pump has been fully operational since 14 August. Apart from the benefit to the local population of the northern Afghan province of Badakshan, the project will also directly improve the security of the Croatian contingent in ISAF, and has been carried out thanks to a successful cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the Ministry of Defense.
Present at the ceremony on behalf of MFAEI and cutting the ribbon was deputy civil affairs team chief of the Provincial Reconstruction Team Feyzabad Ivan Velimir Starčević, as well as members of the 16 HRVCON taking part in the ISAF mission.
This project marks the successful continuation of Croatia’s engagement in carrying out development projects abroad.
