Minister Jandroković thanked his collocutor and the League members for their contribution to the strengthening of the two countries’ overall relations. He was pleased to point out that we had reached such a level in the relations that we could say Japan was Croatia’s partner and friend in Asia, the same being true for Croatia in Europe.

The collocutors agreed that parliamentary cooperation was a very important segment in the strengthening of the bilateral relations and recalled the past meetings between the two countries’ parliamentary delegations. They also reviewed the other areas of cooperation, as well as the possibilities of their further development.

The collocutors pointed out that Croatia was growing ever more popular as a tourist destination in Japan and discussed the ways of attracting an even larger number of tourists.

The meeting also discussed the process of Croatia’s EU accession, mechanisms of fighting the international economic crisis and the current political situation in South Eastern Europe.
