The collocutors pointed out the two countries’ very good parliamentary cooperation, as evidenced by the reciprocal visits between the Croatian Parliament Speaker Luka Bebić to Japan this year and the Japanese Parliament’s Upper House deputy speaker to Croatia in 2008.

They agreed that the talks during this visit too would provide additional impetus to the parliamentary cooperation, as well as to the overall development of the two countries’ relations, which are very good and friendly.

Analyzing the areas of bilateral cooperation, the collocutors agreed that the two countries are cooperating successfully in many of them, but there is room for improvement in economy. They also discussed concrete economic projects, such as using the Croatian ports and investing in the traffic infrastructure, as well as tourism and the possibilities of continuing the trend of the growing number of Japanese tourists visiting Croatia.

Minister Jandroković thanked the Japanese side on behalf of the Croatian Government on Japan’s long-standing assistance through various development programs, including the program of assistance to the local communities in areas of special state concern.
