Minister Jandroković commended the good parliamentary cooperation, as evidenced by the official visit of the Korean Parliament Speaker Eui Hwa Chung to Croatia in August this year. Thanking for the hospitality, Minister Jandroković said this was his first visit to Korea, pointing out his pleasant surprise with Korea’s progress, as well as with the openness and amicability of the Korean people.
br> Analyzing the economic cooperation, Minister Jandroković and Chairman Nam pointed out the need for its intensification, especially in light of Croatia’s pending EU membership. In that regard, Minister Jandroković noted the possibility of using the Port of Rijeka for the Korean companies’ entry onto the European market, as well as the possibility of investing in the traffic infrastructure and tourism.

Speaking of tourism, Minister Jandroković pointed out that the Korean tourist visits in the first six months this year had grown by 75% in relation to the same period the year before. That number will surely continue to rise thanks to the first direct charter flight from Seoul to Croatia announced for 18 September.

Minister Jandroković and Chairman Nam also exchanged opinions about the political situation on the Korean Peninsula and in South Eastern Europe, as well as discussed the multilateral cooperation and experiences within the ISAF mission.
