Minister Jandroković informed his collocutor about the recent meeting with Kosovo’s European Integration Minister Besim Beqaj during the Bled Strategic Forum and discussed the relations between Croatia and Kosovo, as well as the situation in the region.
Reiterating Croatia’s position on a consistent policy towards Kosovo, from the recognition of independence to testifying before the International Court of Justice, Minister Jandroković pointed out that Croatia would continue with the same policy towards Kosovo within the UN as well.
The collocutors agreed that it is necessary to find modalities for including Kosovo in the regional initiatives, which would greatly contribute to the security and stability in the region. In that regard, Croatia is willing to offer expert assistance in strengthening Kosovo’s European integration-related institutions, and has launched the procedure of signing the agreement of cooperation in the Euro-Atlantic integration.
