State Secretary Plenković held meeting with ministries representatives and EU coordinators on further course of Croatia’s EU negotiations and Communication Strategy

The meeting was held following the opening of the three remaining negotiation chapters and the progress achieved at the last month’s Intergovernmental Conference of Croatia’s EU Accession

The meeting was held following the opening of the three remaining negotiation chapters and the progress achieved at the last month’s Intergovernmental Conference of Croatia’s EU Accession, which had seen the temporary closure of two additional chapters, marking a turning point in Croatia’s negotiating process.

State Secretary Plenković said that early-November the European Commission is expected to release its Croatia Progress Report, which we believe will accurately reflect the achievements from the past period, during which Croatia put forth considerable effort in reform activities and made progress in the EU talks.

The state secretaries from various ministries and EU coordinators agreed on the usual drawing up of further material regarding the obligations fulfilled pursuant to the negotiating process. A meeting was announced on the political dialogue with representatives of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enlargement, scheduled for October this year, as well as the meeting of the Stabilization and Association Committee to be chaired by Croatia in December.
