Co-chairmen of the Interstate Diplomatic Committee, on the Croatian side Davor Božinović, State Secretary for Political Affairs, and Željko Obradović, director of Federal Bureau for Geodetic and Property Relations on the side of Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed satisfaction that the Interstate Diplomatic Committee continued its work after a short time break.

The central topic was the status of the Treaty on the State Border between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed in 1999, which has been applied in total form the day it was signed. Delegations form both countries agreed that this Treaty is an authentic and important international treaty, which is proven by the fact that since the day it entered into force, there have been no serious incidents relating to border violations, and both sides should respect it in good faith. The two sides agreed that the work aimed at ensuring conditions necessary for ratification of this Treaty should be continued.

A review of Committee’s work since the last meeting, which was in March 2005, has also been presented, as well as the plan for future activities and tasks relating to identification, marking and maintenance of the state border.
