Minister Jandroković expressed satisfaction that the successful cooperation between the two institutions had been formalized by today’s signing of the Memorandum, which aims to increase Croatia’s export and foreign investment in Croatia. He reminded that the Memorandum was one of the Croatian Government’s measures for Croatia’s economic recovery.

Pointing out the importance of economic diplomacy, ever more present these days, Minister Jandroković said that emphasis would be placed on a more quality and efficient use of the resources of all the associated Croatian institutions. The Memorandum also allows for the possibility of jointly using the premises of the Croatian diplomatic and consular representations abroad, as well as the representations of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, which will reduce the costs of the related institutions’ involvement.

The Croatian Chamber of Commerce Chairman Vidošević welcomed that possibility, pointing out that it is an excellent opportunity for Croatia to be economically represented at various foreign markets. Minister Jandroković also mentioned the Ministry’s new initiative aimed at enhancing the efficiency of economic diplomacy, which will entail positioning commercial attachés throughout the diplomatic missions and consular offices in order to assist the Croatian companies abroad.

In accordance with the Memorandum, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce will also participate in the program of professional training of the commercial attachés and economic advisors before their deployment to Croatia’s diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad.
