The meeting was chaired by Petar Barišić, head of the Independent Department for Croatian Expatriates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration on Croatian side, and Janko Veselinović, Member of Serbian Parliament, on Serbian side. The beginning of the meeting was attended by State Secretary Davor Božinović.

Both sides confirmed progress in many areas of legal protection of minorities in their states, respectively, welcoming the realised recommendations from the last protocol and expressing support for the recommendations whose realisation is under way, and granting some new requests of the Croatian minority in Serbia and of the Serb minority in Croatia.

A visit to the institutions and associations of the Serb ethnic minority in the Vukovar-Srijem County is scheduled for tomorrow.
