Ministar Jandroković informed the European Commissioner on the developments in Croatian accession negotiations for full membership in the European Union. He stressed that the negotiating process was in its final phase and that Croatia was committed to reaching its objective to complete the technical part of the negotiations by the end of this year. He also added that the Government of the Republic of Croatia was working persistently to implement the necessary reforms. The Minister emphasised that the Government is particularly committed to the fight against corruption, and to implementing the measures of the economic recovery.

European Commissioner Potočnik introduced Minister Jandroković with the policies and measures taken by the European Union in the fight against climate changes. In this context, the parties also talked about possibilities of the future co-financing of environmental protection projects in the Republic of Croatia from structural and cohesion funds of the European Union.

One of the topics of the talks was the regional cooperation in environmental protection projects in South East Europe. Minister Jandroković said that the Republic of Croatia, as a country that had made the most significant progress in Euroatlantic integration processes, was ready to cooperate with all countries in the region, in these, and in all other projects of mutual interest.
