The meeting took place at the initiative of Minister Jandroković, in order to reach an agreement on a better organisation of the offer of the Croatian seaports towards foreign partners.
On the occasion, they agreed that the management of the three seaports should prepare information about their capacities and possibilities and development plans. The information collected could help in a targeted approach to potential partners through the network of diplomatic missions and consular posts of the Republic of Croatia, to present the opportunities for cooperation in the transport of goods. Special emphasis would be placed on the advantages of the geographic location of Croatian seaports in the transit of goods for the region.
Representatives of the seaports welcomed this initiative and said that it was right on time because it coincided with the opportunities opening to Croatian seaports in container transit.
They concluded that this initiative would be followed up in close cooperation with the experts of the MFAEI.
