The collocutors agreed that very good relations between Croatia and Brazil, that have never in the past been burdened by any open issues, are based on continuous economic co–operation, frequent contacts at a bilateral level and mutual support in multilateral issues, as well as firm connections to citizens of Brazil that are of Croatian origin.

Ambassador Athayde stressed the importance that Croatia has for Brazil in an international context, expressing also confidence that Croatia’s accession negotiations for EU membership will soon be finalised.
