In his lecture “Croatia’s EU Accession Process”, State Secretary Božinović stressed that the Republic of Croatia is finalising its accession negotiation since almost all chapters have been opened and more than half have been closed. He also stressed the determination to implement all the remaining reforms.

Istria County organised the presentation of its activities in the field of international co–operation and European integration, as well as the Adriatic Euroregion – EU Adriatic Strategy. A lecture for students was held in Pula high school, and the show “Croatia live – Euromagazine live” was broadcasted form Bale.

At a consultation in the headquarters of Istria County, State Secretary Plenković praised the county’s activities in the field of preparing and implementing projects financed from the EU funds and stressed that such activities, especially in the context of interregional and transborder co–operation, serve as a good model.

It is necessary to provide the public with the correct and timely information on above mentioned activities, as well as the process of Croatia’s EU accession in general, stressed State Secretary Plenković. Synergy between the activities of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and other state administration bodies is important in such an effective information campaign, and therefore Central Office for Development Strategy and Co–ordination of EU Funds, Ministry of Regional development, Forestry and Water Management, Agency for Regional Development, Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Croatia and embassies of the EU member states have also been included in the activities of the Europe Week.

The topic of the lecture held in Pula high school was Croatia’s EU accession and possibilities gained by membership, primarily for young population. State Secretary Plenković expressed satisfaction with the international success and activities of students within the European Youth Parliament.

It was possible to see the actual projects of Istria county in the show “Croatia live – Euromagazine live” which was, on the occasion of marking the Europe Day, broadcasted on Croatian National Television live form Bale.
