The Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Serbia Željko Kuprešak has never given an interview to the journalist Biljana Tasić for the column
Kako žive stranci u Beogradu (The way foreigners live in Beograd).
Journalist Tasić asked Ambassador Kuprešak to talk about Croats in Serbia for the purpose of conducting a survey. Since he is always available to journalists, especially when Croats in Serbia are in question, the Ambassador spoke on their current status in Serbia.
We stress that it had never been stated, during or before the interview, that the conversation with the Ambassador will be published in the form of an interview. Everything the Ambassador said was taken out of context and used for the purpose of creating an interview without the Ambassador’s knowledge or authorisation. The expressed attitudes represent only the conclusion of the text’s author and do not represent the opinions of the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Serbia.
We also add that the above stated official denial has been sent to the editorial office of the newspaper „Blic“ by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Republic of Serbia.
