MP Danjean reported on the debates in the European Parliament about the further strengthening of the EU Joint Security and Defence Policy, as well as on the progress in the setting up of the European External Action Service. He expressed support for Croatia’s efforts to complete the negotiations process, saying that Croatia’s membership would be a success for the EU as well.
State Secretary Plenković informed MP Danjean about the status of Croatia’s EU accession negotiations and the process of harmonizing Croatia’s foreign policy with the EU Joint Security and Defence Policy. He also mentioned Croatia’s successful contribution to the EU missions and operations in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Somalia, as well as the logistics support for the EU missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
