Spanair plane lands for first time at Zagreb airport Pleso

Spanair is a new airline on the Croatian sky, a member of the Star Alliance, which also includes Croatia Airlines. Depending on the number of passengers, the Barcelona-Zagreb route will see flights by A-320 and Boeing 717, with the total number of seats per week being around 1000. This means that, in alteration with Croatia Airlines, Zagreb will be connected with Barcelona every day of the week.

Spanair announced Zagreb and the Republic of Croatia as its new destination in its in-flight magazine Spanorama, which headlines will feature it during April and May 2010.

At the press conference during the reception organized by the Croatian Tourist Board and the Zagreb Airport, a speech was delivered by Croatian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain Neven Pelicarić. The first flight to Zagreb also saw a number of Spanish tourist journalists, which are to stay in Zagreb for two days as part of a program by the Croatian Tourist Board.
