The medal presentation ceremony took place on 15 April in the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Buenos Aires and it was attended by numerous Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps in Argentina and members of the Jewish community in Buenos Aires.
Aldo Sergio Donzis was decorated with a medal of the Order of Danica hrvatska with the image of Katarina Zrinska upon proposal of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Buenos Aires for his special merits in health, social welfare and promotion of moral and social values. As the president of DAIA, the most important and the most influential Jewish association in Latin America, he, at his own initiative, proposed and initiated cooperation between this association and the Croatian Embassy in Buenos Aires in order to bring closer together the Croatian and Jewish peoples through numerous joint programmes, especially in the cultural field.
Ariel Blufstein, the executive director of Masorti Latin America, was decorated with the Order of the Croatian Wattle, for special contributions to the development and reputation of the Republic of Croatia and to welfare of its citizens. Mr. Blufstein played the most important role in the establishment and realisation of cooperation on joint projects with the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Buenos Aires.
