The two officials agreed that relations between the two countries are good. They stressed the importance of regular political consultations between officials of the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs and particularly emphasised good cultural cooperation based on the Programme for Cultural Cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, signed in October 2009. Minister Jandroković and Ambassador Khodaei concluded that there were numerous possibilities for improving economic cooperation.
Minister Jandroković familiarised Ambassador Khodaeia with all activities that the Republic of Croatia is undertaking on its the path towards full membership of the European Union, while Ambassador Khodaei presented the current situation concerning the Iranian nuclear programme.
Minister Jandroković expressed hope that the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the international community would manage to resolve the issue of the Iranian nuclear programme in a mutually satisfactory manner, and added that the Republic of Croatia, as a future member of the European Union, would follow the Union policy in relation to that issue.
