State Secretary Božinović said Croatia supports the defence sector reforms in Serbia and wishes to contribute with its experience as a NATO member to the standard raising the neighbouring countries are carrying out as part of the Partnership for Peace – a program offering confirmedly useful framework for implementing reforms and defence cooperation

State Secretary Božinović said Croatia supports the defence sector reforms in Serbia and wishes to contribute with its experience as a NATO member to the standard raising the neighbouring countries are carrying out as part of the Partnership for Peace – a program offering confirmedly useful framework for implementing reforms and defence cooperation. He added that one of Croatia’s priorities, apart from the Euro-Atlantic integration, is regional cooperation and supporting the neighbouring countries in their aspirations. In that regard, the collocutors agreed that the possible inclusion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the NATO Membership Action Plan is good news and a strep towards the stabilisation and enhancement of the relations in the region.

State Secretary Spasojević said that the Serbian army enjoys great trust from the citizens and reported on the intensive bilateral defence cooperation between Serbia and a series of countries. He also expressed satisfaction with the successful meetings in Zagreb.

The collocutors agreed that defence cooperation has a special place in the two countries’ intensive bilateral relations.
