Ambassador Mrs Vesela Mrđen Korać attended on the Prayer Breakfast dedicated to the Republic of Croatiathe Prayer Breakfast dedicated to the Republic of Croatia

During the Prayer Breakfast, Ambassador Mrđen Korać presented an overview of the history and current political situation in the Republic of Croatia, putting special emphasis on the bilateral relations between the Republic of Croatia and Canada, and the possibility of further involvement of the Canadian MEPs in the process of strengthening cooperation at all levels. The high level of the overall bilateral relations achieved was underlined, and the wish to strengthen the cooperation in the areas of the economy, tourism, science and research, and the academic community, as well as the communication between the two states in general.

Members of the Parliament of Canada showed interest in the possibilities to facilitate the economic and academic cooperation in the areas of their scientific interest, expressing their willingness to promote economic cooperation with the Republic of Croatia through different Committees of the Parliament.

Apart from the annual National Prayer Breakfast, Members of the Parliament of Canada also organise prayer breakfasts for the states they wish to strengthen cooperation with. Among others, breakfast was attended by Royal Galipeau, deputy speaker of the House of Commons and member of the Committee on Canadian Heritage, and Lynne Yelich, the Minister for Economic Diversification, who is of Croatian origin.
