Minister Jandroković took part on in informal meeting of the mfa of the EU Member States

Minister Jandroković reported about the current status of accession negotiations for full membership of the EU. He said that the Republic of Croatia strongly supported all South East European Countries in their efforts to join the European integration process by offering to share its experiences with them. To corroborate this, the Minister mentioned the recent decision of the Government of the Republic of Croatia to present with the translations of European legislation to the neighbouring countries. He underlined the importance of certain prospects of membership in the European Union, with regard to individual progress of each state, as the best catalyst for implementing the demanding reforms.

When he spoke about Croatia’s views on the situation in South East Europe, the Minister reiterated that regional cooperation continues to be one of the fundamental pillars of the Croatian foreign policy, and that Croatia strongly supported all initiatives directed to practical efforts to solve the remaining outstanding issues.

As part of his speech, Minister Jandroković also announced the upcoming conference of the heads of states and governments of SEE countries that will be hosted by the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Slovenia and the European Council. This occasion will present the opportunity to discuss the progress that the countries had made so far, their commitment to the European Future, and to define the future steps aimed at sustainable development and prosperity in the region.

Minister Jandroković informed his fellow ministers about Croatia’s views concerning Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.
