The collocutors expressed their pleasure with the achieved level of bilateral relations and their development. They confirmed that the visit of the Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs Stephen Smith to Croatia in 2010 would definitely have a positive impact on the relations between the two states. They underlined the necessity to extend the contracting base between the two states, especially in order to intensify economic cooperation. As numerous Australian citizens are of Croatian origin and represent a steadfast and lasting link between Croatia and Australia, they emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation in education, science, culture and sports.
Minister Jandroković and Ambassador Mercer exchanged opinions on further liberalisation of the visa regime, they agreed on information exchange between the two Governments regarding climate change, and they also mentioned the international cooperation between the two countries, especially in the ISAF Mission in Afghanistan.
