The collocutors expressed satisfaction with the traditionally excellent and close bilateral relations, devoid of outstanding issues. A good indication of such relations, they agreed, are the meeting between highest officials, singling out the recent visit by Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor to Germany, where she met with Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Minister Jandroković informed State Secretary Schmidt about the actualities of Croatia’s EU accession process. He thanked for Germany’s support and assistance from German experts during various stages of the accession process.
Minister Jandroković and State Secretary Schmidt also discussed the current political and security situation in South Eastern Europe, as well as their respective countries’ views on its future. They also talked about the two countries’ cooperation within and the general status of the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
