The collocutors exchanged opinions about the current status of the bilateral relations between Croatia and the US, the two countries’ cooperation within the UN peacekeeping missions and ISAF, and the current political and security situation in South Eastern Europe.
Ministers Jandroković and Vukelić thanked senators Shaheen and Voinovich for their assistance to Croatia during the negotiations with NATO and the support for Croatia’s EU membership.
Talking about the state of affairs in South Eastern Europe, they pointed out that Croatia, as a leader and model country in the region, is advocating further strengthening of the relations with the neighbouring countries, as well as active contribution to the regional cooperation, along with full support for the integration of South Eastern European countries into the EU and NATO.
