Since Jamaica is a Commonwealth member, the governor-general represents Queen Elizabeth II.
In the next few days, Ambassador Ranko Vilović is also to meet with Jamaican Prime Minister Bruce Golding, Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Kenneth Baugh, ministers of finance, industry and trade, national security, agriculture and fishery, tourism, as well as with the vice-president of the Private Sector Organization and director of the largest bank, the Scotiabank Group.
