Minister Gordan Jandroković received French Senator Philippe Marini

Both sides confirmed the high level of the two countries’ bilateral relations and partnership cooperation. Minister Jandroković said this meeting had only deepened it, expressing satisfaction with the continuous France-Croatia dialogue.

Senator Marini said he had used his official visit to Croatia to better understand Croatia’s current economic and financial situation, and also expressed interest in Croatia’s preparations for the EU membership.

He confirmed France’s strong support for Croatia’s main foreign-policy goal: full-fledged EU membership, saying it was also in the interest of protecting the stability of the entire region.

The meeting also discussed the mutual interest in strengthening the cooperation between French and Croatian companies, as well as Croatia’s role in the Union for the Mediterranean. In that regard, Minister Jandroković pointed out Croatia’s interest in contributing to concrete projects within said initiative, in which Croatia can affirms its cultural and civil ties with the Mediterranean.
