Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia seated in the Republic of Indonesia Željko Čimbur presented January 7th 2010 the originals of his credentials to Thailand’s Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn acting on behalf of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

During his stay in Thailand, Ambassador Čimbur also met with Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya and Director for European Affairs Suphorn Pholmani, informing them about Croatia’s foreign-policy priorities, the state of its EU membership negotiation, and the activities towards world peace and security.

The collocutors agreed on the necessity to further develop the bilateral relations, namely in economy, as well as the cooperation in all other areas of mutual interest (infrastructure, tourism, education, sports, etc). Both sides agreed that it is necessary to consider further possibilities of signing bilateral agreements and speed up the process of signing the current ones. Minister Piromya expressed hope that the bilateral cooperation between Croatia and Thailand would continue to grow stronger, especially through the exchange of high-level visits in the following years.
