Minister Jandroković thanked his collocutors for the support they continuously offer the Republic of Croatia in all the key areas, from NATO membership to the EU accession, as well as in the issues of regional cooperation

Minister Jandroković thanked his collocutors for the support they continuously offer the Republic of Croatia in all the key areas, from NATO membership to the EU accession, as well as in the issues of regional cooperation. He expressed his conviction in the continuation of the two countries’ positive and constructive relations.

The collocutors also talked about further enhancing the economic cooperation, as well as about the possible visit by a delegation of US congressmen and senators to the Republic of Croatia.

Pointing out that Croatia is a partner of the US not only in the region of South Eastern Europe, but globally as well, Minister Jandroković emphasized Croatia’s participation in 15 international peacekeeping missions, singling out the ISAF mission in Afghanistan. Minister Jandroković said Croatia supports President Obama’s new strategy for Afghanistan, considering it vital for stabilization and the setting up of functioning institutions in the country.

The collocutors also exchanged information about the state of affairs in South Eastern Europe, especially the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Minister Jandroković said Croatia supports the latest US and EU initiative to institute constitutional changes that would guarantee equality for all three of the country’s constitutive nations. The collocutors agreed that strengthening Bosnia and Herzegovina’s stability is vital for the stability of the entire region.
