The collocutors expressed satisfaction with the excellent relations between Croatia and Poland, and the intensive parliamentary cooperation, especially between the two foreign affair committees. Both sides said they expected the two countries’ excellent political relations to be accompanied by a more intensive economic cooperation in the future.

Minister Jandroković said Croatia appreciates Poland’s support for Croatia’s Euro-Atlantic integration, while Chairman Halicki pointed out Poland would continue to actively support Croatia, so that its EU negotiations could be concluded in the near future.

Expressing satisfaction with the recent signing of the Lisbon Treaty by Polish President Lech Kaczynski, Minister Jandroković said it was of extreme importance for Croatia, as it facilitates its EU accession procedure. The collocutors agreed it also gives additional impetus to other countries of South Eastern Europe to continue their enlargement policy, expressing willingness to provide them with full political and expert assistance along that path.
