Among 5700 candidates from 12 countries, the two Croatian candidates both won Silver medals, Mali Lošinj in the town category, and Molve in the village category. The Croatian delegation was lead by the president of the AEFP/Entente Florale Europe for Croatia Vojko Pleština and the representatives of Mali Lošinj and Molve.
The Republic of Croatia became a member of the Brussels-based AEFP/European Association for Flowers and Landscape in 2003 as its sole non-EU member country.
