Ambassador Del Vechio participated in commemoration of Voivodeship Day in Rzeszow, as well as in conference “Role of EU Funds in Promotion of Regional Development”

On that occasion, Ambassador Del Vechio separately met with Marshal Cholewinski, his deputy Bogdan Rzonc, and Deputy Director of the Rzeszow Regional Development Agency (RARR) Janusz Romski. The collocutors reviewed issues concerning the creation of preconditions for the strengthening of regional and economic cooperation. The Polish side expressed interest in establishing partnership relations with Zadarska County. The meetings also covered topics regarding the possibilities of intensifying regional cooperation and promoting economic interests, in view of the complementary economic systems and mutual developmental needs.

The central event was the ceremonious opening of the new building of the Voivodeship administration, which gathered a large number of officials, members of the Parliament, representatives of the academic community and Church dignitaries. Ambassador Del Vechio also met with the Bishop of Rzeszow, HE Kazimierz Gorny.
