Ambassador Miro Kovač presented a lecture entitled “Croatia on the Way to the European Union”

Around one hundred people from politics, economy, culture and science were present at the lecture, among others Deputy Mayor of Dresden Detlef Sittel and Member of the European Parliament Holger Krahmer.

Ambassador Kovač pointed out that Croatia’s path to Euro-Atlantic integration, regardless of the difficulties, was very successful. He also said that after accession to NATO, Croatia will continue its efforts to achieve the second strategic foreign policy goal – full membership of the European Union. The Ambassador also said that, provided that Slovenia unblocks accession negotiations shortly, Croatia was ready to conclude negotiations with the European Union by the end of this year.
