Minister Gordan Jandroković participated in Europe Day commemoration program

Also present were Head of the European Commission’s Delegation to Croatia Vincent Degert, as well as the EU members’ ambassadors and diplomatic representatives accredited to Croatia

Minister Jandroković, Ambassador Degert and other officials joined the ride for the last leg of the EU Bus’ tour, arriving at the Cvjetni Square, where they made a round of the stands of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the European Commission’s Delegation to Croatia and the EU members’ embassies, which distributed publications and info material on the European Union.

Minister Jandroković pointed out the importance of informing the Croatian citizens about the EU and expressed satisfaction with their growing interest in the subject, as well as their recognizing the advantages of the EU membership.

Ambassador Degert said that the EU wants Croatia as its member, adding that it is a strategic interest of not only Croatia but the region as a whole.

The EU Bus’ arrival in Zagreb completes its tour organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the European Commission’s Delegation to Croatia to mark the European Week. The EU Bus, featured in the European Week program since 2007, this year visited Supetar, Knin, Opatija, Krapina, Karlovac, Čakovec, Koprivnica, Virovitica and Vinkovci.

This year’s 10th in a row marking of the European Week took place across Croatia from 28 April to 9 May. Its activities and events, as before, were conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in cooperation with the European Commission’s Delegation to Croatia, the EU members’ embassies, county European integration councils, and other advisory bodies founded in all of Croatia’s counties,

The program continued on the Bundek Lake with a series of races under the banner of “To EUrope through Sport”.
