The meeting discussed further improvement of the economic cooperation, positively describing the past trade dynamic, which in 2008 topped $250 million, and is showing marked increase this year. Pointing out the potential of Croatian construction companies, Ambassador Lubkivsky invited them to get involved in the building of infrastructural objects in Ukraine for the 2012 European football championship.
He also thanked the Croatian Government on suspending the visa regime for Ukrainian citizens during the holiday season, saying it met with great approval among the Ukrainian tourist and is already yielding positive results.
Minister Jandroković emphasized Croatia’s willingness to assist Ukraine trough its experience along Ukraine’s path to the Euro-Atlantic structures.
