State Secretary Bianca Matković met with Swedish Ambassador to Croatia Fredrik Vahlquist

The meeting discussed Croatia’s EU accession negotiations. State Secretary Matković pointed out that despite Slovenia’s blockade, the internal reforms are being carried out according to plan. Ambassador Vahlquist expressed full support for Croatia in the continuation of its reforms, so that it could conclude the EU negotiations within the planned timeframe.

The collocutors also touched upon the Croatian-Slovenian border dispute, with State Secretary Matković reiterating Croatia’s positions on the issue, saying Croatia is seeking a solution that is in accordance with the norms of the international law and the principles set by the EU itself.

The meeting also discussed the preparations for the 4th Croatia Summit, which Croatia is organizing this year in cooperation with the Swedish Government.
