Minister Jandroković said he is convinced the two countries would continue to cooperate successfully, not only on the bilateral level, but on the multilateral one as well, especially given China’s growing influence in the international relations and Croatia’s non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council. The Croatian side once again reiterated its dedication to the One China principle.
The meeting pointed out the strengthening of the economic relation as one of the priorities on the overall Croatia-China relations, noting the possibilities of further developing the cultural, scientific, and tourist cooperation, as well as the local-level networking.
Director-General Ruiyu said China supports Croatia’s efforts to join the EU, expressing conviction that it would further deepen all forms of cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.
Director-General Ruiyu and the Chinese MFA delegation later held regular political consultations with representatives of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, led by Director for Extra-European Bilateral Cooperation Andrea Javor.
