State Secretary Maja Vrtarić co-chaired 5th Session of Mixed Croatia - Baden-Württemberg Commission

The delegation of the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg was led by Federal and European Affairs Minister Wolfgang Reinhart, who, along with State Secretary Vrtarić, co-chairs the Mixed Commission

The delegation of the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg was led by Federal and European Affairs Minister Wolfgang Reinhart, who, along with State Secretary Vrtarić, co-chairs the Mixed Commission. State Secretary Vrtarić expressed satisfaction over Reinhart’s assuming the duty of co-chair, as his field of work is of a significant importance to Croatia, considering joining the EU if one of Croatia’s foreign-policy strategic goals, as well as one of the standing topics of the Joint Commission’s sessions.

The fact that since the Mixed Committee’s 2005 founding session in Zagreb four other sessions have been held is a testament to a great interest on both sides in the development of mutual relations, pointed out the collocutors. State Secretary Vrtarić said that the best cooperation had been realized in culture, science, education, economy and internal affairs. “I am especially pleased that the session’s agenda now includes the topics of agriculture and environment, proving that there are possibilities of further expanding and intensifying the cooperation”, said Vrtarić.

In a separate meeting, Reinhart was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković, with whom he had a short and friendly talk.
