During the meeting after the presentation, the Spanish sovereign expressed interest in the process of Croatia’s NATO and EU accession, emphasizing Spain’s support for Croatia’s membership in both of the organizations. He also showed interest in the further development of the cultural and economic relations between Spain and Croatia, expressing satisfaction with the two countries’ growing tourist exchange, facilitated by the air routes of Croatia Airlines and Iberia.
Ambassador Pelicarić relayed to His Majesty Juan Carlos I greetings by Croatian President Stjepan Mesić, as well as the invitation to visit Croatia.
